More info
The Tranquillity Room is a spacious, romantic hideaway — ideal for couples looking to indulge in a little extra comfort.
Unwind together in the cosy lounge area, or open the double French doors and step into your own private oasis. Surrounded by lush tropical plants, the outdoor seating area feels like a secret garden with breathtaking views of the Blue Mountains.
Wake to birdsong, sip coffee in the soft morning light, and let the peaceful setting wrap around you.
The space
Lose yourself in the view: step through the French doors and take in the sweeping valleys and majestic Blue Mountains beyond. Wake to the gentle sound of birdsong, and watch the landscape come alive with colour from your private patio, surrounded by lush tropical gardens that are yours alone to enjoy.
Inside, the room features a cosy seating area (which converts to a single sofa bed if needed), tea-making facilities, a fridge, and a seamless flow between indoor comfort and outdoor beauty — perfect for unwinding and reconnecting.
Our guesthouse is self-catering, giving you the freedom to prepare meals as you please. To welcome you, we offer a complimentary breakfast on your first morning. You'll also have access to a shared kitchen, fully equipped with everything you need.
Prefer not to cook? We've partnered with a wonderful local chef who delivers delicious, home-cooked Jamaican meals straight to your door. Menus and ordering info are available when you arrive.
We're always nearby if you need anything — directions, local tips, or just a friendly chat.
There are no TVs in the rooms — we invite you instead to enjoy a slower, more mindful stay, rooted in nature, rest, and gentle living.
For those exploring by car or on foot, you'll find charming cafés and restaurants within easy reach, ideal for a scenic lunch or laid-back afternoon.
Guest access
The kitchen and dining area is the heart of the place — perfect for breakfast or dinner with a beautiful mountain view. It's also a great hangout spot during the day for reading, playing dominoes or board games, or just having a good chat.
Guests can use the outdoor gym, which has a cool rustic feel and fits right into the vibe of the place.
We've also got a private gazebo tucked away from the main house, with a sun deck, chill-out seating, a pool table, and a dartboard — perfect for relaxing.
There are open spaces all around the property too — great for yoga, games, a bit of exercise, or just kicking back and listening to the river.
During your stay
No schedules. No pressure. Just comfort — as much or as little as needed.
Other things to note
Getting here
We're located just off the B1 route heading in the direction of New Castle.
We can arrange a pick-up service which we strongly recommend, as road conditions have worsened due to the recent storms. You can reach out to us for more information. We can be flexible with arrival times when using our pick-up service, and you can arrange this with us in advance.
If you do wish to make your own way here, please be aware that the mountain roads are narrow in places. Some parts of the road are only accessible with a 4x4, and local taxis will likely not be able to make it right to the property if they are not familiar with the roads. These are truly mountain roads for the adventurous! Airport taxis and Uber taxis are not recommended. Please aim to arrive by 6pm, as the roads are challenging after dark.
Please do reach out for any support regarding your travel arrangements beforehand.
Evenings can get quite cool, so we recommend bringing a warm sweater and a rain mac.
Payment
Cash is preferred for tours and meals ordered from the local chef, but card is accepted.
